Getting started

Regnarium is a micro-4X: explore, expand, produce, fight — all in one sitting. A match runs at most 60 turns and takes roughly 30–45 minutes.

The goal

There are two ways to win:

  1. Conquest — take every rival capital.
  2. Score — hold the highest score when the last turn ends.

Lose your own capital and you are eliminated. Details: Victory conditions.

Dynasty: the one lasting choice of the match

On the setup screen, alongside the number of opponents, their personality and the difficulty, you can also pick a dynasty for yourself. A dynasty is a rule modifier: chosen once, it stands for the whole match and permanently changes one number on your side.

NameEffectsRole
Expansionist line
  • City cap +1
Your city cap rises: the door to expansion stays open to you for longer.
Defensive line
  • City defense +3
Your cities defend harder: holding your border costs the rival more.
Opportunist line
  • Raider attack +1
Your Raider hits harder: chasing an opening on the field is cheaper for you.

Playing with no dynasty is a first-class option and the default — that match plays the balance without asymmetry. Rivals use no dynasty: the AI's asymmetry lives in the personality and difficulty you pick for it (The AI opponent).
